If you read The Old Farmer's Almanac, you can learn a lot of interesting things, regardless of whether or not these things can ever be scientifically verified. The 2010 edition of OFA has some very engaging data regarding astrology, particularly the Moon's position in regards to the Zodiac (pages 230-231). Here's the long and short of it:
- The best days for dental care are when the Moon is in Virgo.
- When the Moon is in Sagittarius, these days are best for camping.
- Make sure to cut hay when the Moon is in Aries.
- Wait until the Moon is in Aquarius before castrating animals.
- Pouring concrete is best saved for when the Moon is in Capricorn.
